Center Criteria

Applicants will be evaluated and offered a place in the program based on an initial interview as well as on the following criteria:

• The applicant is between the ages of 18 and 21.
• The applicant demonstrates an internal desire to be in the program.
• The applicant commits to pursuing full-time education or employment
• The applicant commits to pursuing part-time education and part-time employment, a minimum of twenty hours per week.
• The applicant commits to participating in the volunteer work program a minimum of eight hours per month.
• The applicant is not suffering from any behavioral or psychological disorder/s that would jeopardize self, other residents or staff. Any disorder/s must be under treatment, be receiving treatment or open to treatment.

The program is best suited to individuals who are:

• Homeless
• Aging out of foster care
• Unable to reside in their current family residence
• Coming out of a treatment center
• In need of an alternative to a treatment center
