Genesis Home is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families and young adults overcome homelessness and achieve self-sufficiency while residing in a safe and supportive environment. During an average stay of 6 months, residents and staff work together to meet parenting, nutrition, education, job, and housing-related goals through three key programs: Family Matters, a transitional housing program that helps individual families identify and overcome the root causes of their homelessness; Independent Living Program, a program focused on personal development and building essential life skills in homeless young men and women who have aged out of foster care; Turning Point, a program that immediately returns homeless families to permanent housing.
Through personalized and intensive case management that continues well beyond a client’s time in residence at Genesis Home, our staff works with each family and young adult to develop the skills necessary to maintain permanent housing in the community.
