Genesis Home is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping
families with children overcome homelessness and achieve
self-sufficiency while residing in a safe and supportive environment. During
an average stay of 8-12 months, residents and staff work together to meet
parenting, nutrition, education, job, and housing-related goals through three key programs: - Family Matters is a
transitional housing program that helps individual families identify and
overcome the root causes of their homelessness;
- Turning
Point provides rental assistance and suportive services for five families in permament housing headed by an adult with a diagnosed disability; and
- Circles of Support is a partnership with local community organizations to provide homeless families and individuals support and assistance for 12 months.
Through personalized and
intensive case management that continues well beyond a client’s time in
residence at Genesis Home, our staff works with each family to
develop the skills necessary to maintain permanent housing in the community.
